It's Potty Time!

Cooper has been interested in the big boy toilet for a while now but, I haven't really pushed it. The last couple of weeks he has been taking his diaper off and making a bigger mess than we need so yesterday I decided, Today is the day! He did really good in the morning of going on the potty. He only had one accident. He told me he wanted to have Elmo underwear so we went to the store to pick out some "big boy underwear". When we got there he wanted all of them and had a hard time just choosing two but, he finally decided on- Thomas the Train and Spider man & Friends. The underwear was a great thing because he could tell a lot better when he was having an accident then when he wore the pull-ups...I did have to wash a few pair yesterday but, oh well.

Nick took this picture last night when he took Cooper to the bathroom He is so funny cause when we take him to the bathroom he says,

"Go out! Close the door, pleeese!"

All in all he did pretty good for his first day. He had 4 accidents and went about 5 times. It was kind of a long day having to go to the bathroom ever 20 minutes but, it will all pay off!

If anyone has any fun ideas or any advice I would love it!

Camping in Beaver Part 2

Here are some more of our pictures from our camping trip. For some reason, the collage didn't have these in it!

When we went four wheeling Nick would go fast over these little hills and Coop loved it! He would point every time he saw another little hill and would say, "Go fast!"

I think this picture of Coop is so funny! He looks like a little chipmunk! Here is Coop roasting his marshmallow. He didn't do too well of keeping it off the ground.

But, had fun making it catch on fire so he could blow it out! Jo, this is for you! There is a picture of me!

Oh, a camping we did go...a camping we did go!

Last weekend we went camping up to Beaver Mountain. It was such nice weather! I loved seeing all of the trees changing colors. Cooper had such a blast! We haven't been camping since last deer hunt so it was nice to go. We went for four-wheeler rides and just relaxed. We went camping in the same camp that we go to for the deer hunt so it was nice to already know the area. It has a little creek running behind it so the kids love it. Cooper was having so much fun playing in the creek pretending that he was fishing that he fell in. :( It was pretty cold! Saturday Jeremi's family came up and camped with us. We made a roast in the dutch oven and it turned out so... yummy! We had so much food! The kids had a blast roasting marshmallows and getting dirty. We gave Coop a bath and when he got out the water was gray. It was pretty gross! When we went four wheeling we saw three does, lots of grasshoppers, squirrels, and a 6 point bull elk! It was HUGE! Well, huge to me. I have never seen one that big ever.! Nick slammed on the breaks jumped off the four wheeler and tired to take a picture. We were too slow though.

We had so much fun we didn't want to come home (except to shower) but, maybe we will be able to go again soon before it gets too cold!

WaTcH oUt CoOp'S dRiViN'!!!

Last night we were out in the garage and Coop told me to get in the car so we could go for a ride. I got in and he helped me put my seat belt on and told me we were going to get an ice cream cone. He put my sunglasses on and told me to "hold on, we are almost there!" He makes me laugh so hard! As we were driving (pretending to) a praying mantis landed on our windshield. Coop thought that was pretty cool. He kept wanting to get out and catch it. So, he would get out and chase it as it was flying around. Then he got back in the car and made sure I knew it was safe cause he got it! (not really) On our drive Cooper also sang me some songs out of the hymn book. It was pretty fun having Cooper be my little driver! I am sure I won't be so relaxed when it comes time that he is really driving! :)

Mr. Mischief

I was getting dinner ready last night and I could hear Coop in the pantry so, I opened the door to find this! Cooper finally got to his destination--the cheetos!

A little get-away to Pine Valley!

On Friday Night we headed up to Pine Valley with the William's to stay over at Joanna's parents cabin! We didn't get up there until 11:00 p.m. so we just unpacked our food and made the beds and crashed! Saturday morning we slept in a bit and then got up and made a yummy breakfast. Joanna made the pancakes, I did eggs and bacon, Nick made the O.J. and Jason watched Curious George with Coop. For lunch we made sandwiches and packed up a picnic to take somewhere and eat. We loaded up the stroller with the picnic basket, bag of chips, and a blanket...oh and Coop was in there too! :) We headed off to find a place. We got to the church there and thought that would be the perfect place. He had a nice shaded grassy area. Well, come to find out there is a sign on the fence that says NO PICNICKING! So, we ditched that idea and headed back to the cabin and set up our picnic there on the grass. It was yummy! After lunch I guess the guys were exhausted from our four blocks of walking so they went in the cabin and took a nap. Joanna, Coop, and me decided to go for a walk. We walked up to a friends cabin which was up this huge hill. They had this sweet Amish buggy there so we took pics. We got back to our cabin and the guys were still crashed so we hung out on the swing and watched Coop play outside. Nick and me played a game when he got up of... I don't know what it is called but you catch the ball in some yellow things.. and it was way fun! Dinner was getting close so we wrapped up our game of Phase 10 and made a deal with the guys that since we made breakfast and lunch they could do dinner. They did really good. They made chicken, corn on the cob, Au gratin potatoes and rolls. We were stuffed. After dinner we cleaned up and got ready to head back home. We were all way sad to leave because it was so nice to just get-away for a bit! Cooper had so much fun playing cars and just running around.

RoUgH dAy FoR cOoP!

Yesterday was a pretty rough day for Cooper! He was playing while I was getting Matt's present ready and I heard Nick say, "Cooper! We don't do that!" and then he called me in to see what he did. I went to check out what I thought would be just another mess but NO! this time it was serious! There in the outlet was the mail keys sticking out, T.V. and all the lights off.

Nick went and pulled the keys out of the outlet and the keys were black! He had popped the breaker when he put the keys in there. Luckily, he didn't get hurt!

We explained to him how dangerous that was and that he could have gotten hurt really bad.

Then we were off to Matt's Birthday! The kids were having a blast playing outside on the play set. A few minutes later one of the kid's came in and said Cooper is hurt. So, I went out to see what was going on. The poor guy had dirt all over his face and in his mouth and had re-hit his already big bonk on his head. I brought him in and cleaned him up and asked what happened. He told me he fell off the big rock! Poor Coop was not having a good day!

Matt's 8th Birthday!

Matt's Birthday was yesterday and Jen (again) made an amazing cake!!! This fighter Jet had working lights and sounds! It was awesome! The cake was yummy too!
