4 Years!

Today is our Anniversary! Yeah! We have been married for 4 years. It is so crazy how fast time goes by!
Nick is so amazingly wonderful. I am so glad that he came into my life. It has been so fun to learn and grow with him. I love you Nick! Thanks for everything that you do!
We are going to venture out tonight and go to dinner at Red Lobster! :)

Thank You!

I just want to tell everyone that has been so sweet to call, visit, and bring in dinners, and flowers how thankful we are for you and for all the love and support. We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. I am so grateful for the gospel and knowing that I will have the opportunity to raise this child someday. Also, for having the Priesthood in our home and being able to have Nick give me a Priesthood blessing. I don't think I could have gone through this without it! Dr. Lunt is the best doctor in the world! I still have to go in every week for blood tests until my levels go down but, it is almost there. Thanks again to everyone! We love you!

Pioneer Day!

On the 24th of July we have a really fun tradition that we do. The annual "Brooks Water Slide Party" is held at Walt and Jen's house.
We had the big water slide, kiddie pool, and the mini water park. It was so fun to watch the kids! Cooper was so scared to go down the slide last year and wouldn't even go if me or Nick took him. He really surprised me this year when he climbed up there all by himself and went down on his tummy the first time! Go Coop! I tried to get him to go down on his tummy again so I could get a picture but he wouldn't! He said, "too scawy!" Check out his face when he is going down the slide.. he looks like he is almost going to cry and then when he gets to the bottom he is smiling and wants to go again! He is so funny!

We had a BBQ and had a lot of fun visiting with the family! The kids had a blast going from one water adventure to another! Cooper didn't even want to take a break to eat but, he did sneak a few finger jello's on his way to the water slide :).
I heard that later that night Walt did some pretty awesome fireworks! :)
We are so grateful for this wonderful day we have to celebrate our pioneer heritage and for the many things the pioneers did for us so that we could live in this beautiful place! (we could almost play in the water year round!)

Cooper making himself a snack!

When we got home from the doctor today Cooper decided to get himself a snack! I was talking to my sister and Nick had just gotten home and walked into the kitchen and saw what Coop was doing. He asked Coop if he was hungry! He was and apparently in order to eat a banana you need a cutting board, cake knife, and fork!

He makes me smile at the things he does. He is so cute and fun! I love my little man!

Raelie's Baptism

Raelie in her Baptism Dress

Raelie's Baptism was on Saturday! Another girl in her primary class was baptized also. Nate gave an awesome talk on Baptism and Raelie and Brianna's primary teacher gave a talk on the Holy Ghost.
It was such a neat experience to see Raelie get baptized and receive the Holy Ghost! She couldn't stop smiling.

After the Baptism we went to their house for some delicious food. We had chicken sandwiches, cookies, rice krispies, and a chocolate fountain with everything you could think of to dip! Here is a picture of Raelie and Aunt Toni after eating yummy chocolate!
See all the yummy food! Here is Bryan after getting his plate.

Raelie's 8th Birthday!

Raelie turned 8 on Wednesday! We went over to her house for dinner and cake and ice cream! The boys had lots of fun eating outside on the wall! For dinner we had Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and Lasagna. It was delicious! Thanks Kar for the yummy food. Jen (Brooks) made her a way cute Butterfly cake. It was so bright and colorful! Oh, and very scrumptious!

Raelie will be baptized on Sat. so I will have more pictures then!

Popsicle fun in the sun!

The last couple of days I have been watching Kaylee & Jordan (Nick's niece and nephew). Jen had her baby on Wed. so they had a sleep over for a couple of nights. Cooper has had a lot of fun with them here. They LOVE these little popsicles so here are some pictures of the many times they ate these. They went home yesterday and got to bring home their new baby sister Aubree!

Tellling our parents!

The other day I made a couple puzzles to tell our parents that we were expecting. It turned out really fun! We gave one to Nick's mom and my dad and grandma Jo! (Nick already had told his dad when they went to lunch!) Nick's mom was out of town so we left in on her counter in an envelope with instructions from Cooper. Then, we went to my parents and Cooper gave it to them and helped them put it together and then we went for a swim in their pool. It was so nice! We are really excited and it is fun teaching Cooper what is going to happen when the baby comes! :) Thanks for every one's congratulations! We appreciate it!

Silly Cooper!

Yesterday we had our friends over to make Smore's. Since it was pretty cloudy and rainy we decided to just roast our marshmallows over the stove. They were pretty yummy. Cooper was having so much fun with the marshmallows. Jason kept hitting them up in the air and Coop thought that was the funniest thing ever. I don't think I have heard him laugh that hard for a while. He kept falling off the bar onto the counter and almost off the counter. It was really funny when Jason moved to the other side of the counter and was throwing the marshmallow and Cooper stopped laughing all of the sudden and said, "No, go sit at counter!" Jason went over and sat back down and it was back to laughing. Here is a little video!

Riding the scooter and playing the wii

Wednesday night Jason took Cooper for a ride on the scooter while Nick watered the flowers. Jo and me went and go shakes. Coop had a blast! When we pulled up to order, somehow my foot was on the brake and the gas at the same time and yea, that was an interesting experience as we almost jumped the curb! Thanks Joanna for putting it in Park! I couldn't stop laughing to order so the poor guy who was trying to take my order could hardly understand me, but amazingly enough our order was right! When we got back the guys were play the Wii! No surprise there. :) They are going to be pro-golfers before we know it. Cooper got tired of watching and fell right asleep on the floor in between the guys.

Nick's 27th Birthday!

Yesterday was Nick's birthday! He LOVES hunting so I tried to attempt a "deer" cake. Well, this is what I got. A bear with antlers! Haha
Cooper had been saying all day that is was HIS birthday not Dad's but finally by the end of the night we would ask him who's birthday it was and he said, "Daddy's burtday!"
Nick had kind of a rough day at work, but it ended up being a really fun night. That was good! We went to Texas Roadhouse (the first time I have ever been without having to wait) with Uncle Jace and Aunt Jo :) and then went a rented some movies.
Cooper had a blast with Mike and Teria riding his trike around, playing the wii, and LOTS more fun stuff. Thanks Mike and Teria you're awesome!

4th of July!

For the fourth of July we had a fun swim party at Dad and Grandma Jo's. The kids had a blast. It was nice to cool off in the pool on such a HOT day! (Don't mind my sick tan lines) We had some really yummy food and lots of fun! I don't have any pics of fireworks because Coop fell asleep so I stayed home.

Kaylee got a black eye from softball so we had to take a picture to remember it!

Eye Surgery

I have been meaning to post these for a while now, but haven't so here they are. I had a corneal graft done back in January. The outcome was awesome! Here is the before and after pictures.

Before
After
You can see that they weren't able to take it all off, but when you are looking at me it is hard to see it unless you are really close.

Happy 1st Birthday Sweet Elise!

Today was my niece Elise's 1st birthday! She is so fun! She wasn't too sure about the cake but she finally decided to try it after her ice cream was all gone and loved it.
Enjoying her yummy cake!

This is the cute train cake with the trailer of ice cream that Jen made. She is so talented and makes the cutest cakes. Elise put her fingers in the word "sweet" while we were singing happy birthday! :)
