Geez...time flies!

Wow, I have a lot of updating to do! I guess we will start back in March. Nick took his final for the SFO (Special Function Officer) Block and PASSED!! Wahoo!! He has been able to enjoy two weeks off before he heads back to school this Monday for his last Block (LEO). He is really enjoying school and is excited for what is to come!

The last week in March I had the chance to go to a buying show in Richfield with the DSC Bookstore and help "buy" clothing for this next year. We had WAY too much fun and ate WAY too much!!
The Clothing team (Me, Bev, Tia)
Bev is our Supervisor. She is the sweetest person ever!!
Tia and I roomed together. She is hilarious!
Getting ready to head back home
Then came Easter/Conference weekend. What a fun way to spend Easter weekend listening to the words of the prophet. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the sessions of conference. One that I was so grateful to hear was Elder Andersen's talk on the role of mother's. I just made me realize how important and sacred our role is and rearing our children down a righteous path. Saturday in between sessions we met up at the Park with the Tobler Fam for a picnic. It was fun and such beautiful weather.
Before Nick headed off to Priesthood we dyed eggs and had a little Easter egg Hunt for Coop. I don't know what happened to the pics of the egg hunt.Coop preparing the counter
Dying EggsDad & Coop dying a blue eggAnd her is Kallie :)
While Nick was at the Priesthood Session. Joanna invited me to go with the girl's in her fam to eat Pizza and Ice cream sundaes. It was sure fun! Thanks! Before we went to bed Cooper put his Easter basket outside of his bedroom door so the Easter bunny would be able to find it. Well, morning came and Coop came running into my room all concerned. He said, "MOM..the Easter bunny stole-ded my basket. It's gone!"
Nick told him that the Easter bunny had probably hid the basket and we would have to find it. So we went for a search and sure enough that clever little bunny left it right on the kitchen table!Cooper's basket

It has been a fun and busy month and we man it sure goes by fast!

He's a chuch goin' man...and other randomness

Cooper came out the other morning dressed like this.........ready for church!
He plays "church" almost everyday.
Speaking of church..on Sunday they created two new wards. We are now in a different ward and I was way more emotional about it than I thought I would be. I knew it would be hard if we got split from our ward and wonderful bishopric but let's just say I was an emotional disaster! I know that this change was inspired from our Heavenly Father and it will bring new blessing I am sure. It is just hard to be leaving such a wonderful ward! So to all of you that we left in the 5th ward...we LOVE you and will MISS seeing you on a weekly basis. Atleast we don't live too far from most of you so we can still see each other!

Another favorite thing Cooper loves to play is camping! He asks Nick everyday if we can go camping in the backyard. His dreams then are crushed because for one it is freezing outside, two our backyard is dirt, three we have no block wall....I don't want to meet a coyote! So, when Cooper asked Nick on Friday he told Cooper we could have a camp out "inside" on a night that Nick didn't have school. We decided that Sunday Night would be the best. We made Hamburgers for dinner and then set up our "camping bed" by the fire since we don't have a tent. Cooper got his sleeping bag and pillow and was all set. It was a fun night but, Cooper did not want to go to bed....he was too excited to be camping!
Kallie has loved the Bumbo lately...thanks Hailee Mae!! Here she is one morning reading the Wheaties box

Roll Over

Tonight while I went to go give Cooper his towel so he could get out of the bath, I put Kallie on her tummy on a blaket in the living room. When I came back in she was laying on her back. I couldn't believe it! She did it...she rolled tummy to back! Yay! She is growing up way fast!

Other updates

Cooper has been riding his bike all the time and is getting pretty good on it. Maybe by Easter we will take off the training wheels..we will see how he does!

Nick started the Police Academy this week and is already learning lots and has been studying like a mad man. He is really enjoying being back in school!

I started cooking for Nick's Grandparents again and taking it into them. And of course hanging out with the kiddos. Cooper is a hilarious little guy! There is never a dull moment with him! He defiantly keeps me on my toes! Now that Nick is in class every night Cooper really misses daddy putting him to bed, but we are getting a pretty good routine going and it is even leaving me with some "me" time which has been nice.
That about it...not really too much else has been happening but therefore each day seems to be crazy and there is never enough time to get done all the things that I need to. I must be getting old!

3 months, blessing, sick

Ahhh... Kallie is already 3 months old! She is developing quite the cute little personality! Some things she is doing at 3 months:
  • smiles, coos and laughs back at you when you make silly faces or noises
  • loves to play patty cake, especially with Coop
  • loves to be held facing out so she can see everything
  • when Nick rubs the back of her hair she will practically turn her head all the way to see what is touching her head
  • loves bath time...her legs are kicking and splashes water EVERYWHERE!
  • loves old men- she smiles so big at laughs
  • almost out growing her bassinet
  • lifts her head up like a little turtle when on her tummy
  • hates sleeping on her back
  • loves to hold on to blankies, hair, shirt or whatever is close when she is drinking her milk
  • drinks 4 oz
We love sweet little Kallie SO much and can't get enough of her. She is such a happy little babe!
We blessed Kallie on Sunday Jan. 3rd. Nick gave such a beautiful blessing. Most of our family was able to attend except for a few who were sick...this is including poor Cooper. We didn't want to take him and give those were healthy and sick germs. Cooper has had a fever since Saturday and this is pretty much what he has done for the last five days...
Kar was nice enough to come stay with Coop during the blessing and then Jill & Bryan came to watch him while Kar came up to eat some treats and visit.
I am so sad that I didn't get more pictures but...my camera died after I started taking pictures so here are the few I was able to get.

In Memory...

11 years ago today Mom returned to our Heavenly Father. She was the sweetest, caring, most sincere person in the world. She had some many wonderful attributes. For all the pain she endured in her life she always had a smile on her face. I never heard her raise her voice and she was always doing things for others no matter what challenge presented itself. I look up to her so much and want to follow in her every footstep. She was the BEST Mom anyone could ever ask for. I miss her SO much but know that she is in a better place! I know she is watching over me and my family. I will never forget all the fun times I had with Mom...going to lunch after doctor's appointments, shopping, chatting, learning to cook, doing service, laughing, Christmas traditions, her beautiful singing voice, etc.. She will forever be in our hearts! I love how Cooper and the other grandchildren know who Grandma is even though they never met her in this life. She had such a love for children. Every time we drive on 100 south past the cemetery Cooper says, "There is Grandma's grave." He love to go "visit" her and take flowers or little notes. So, today not only do we celebrate Mom in our hearts, but Justin & Dayten's birthday!

We love you Mama Angel!

Pictures...LOTS

Ok can I just say, I have the most talented friends/family ever!! Teria (my neice in-law) hah that sounds funny...she is Mike's wife, took our family pictures and some pictures of Kallie for her blessing. Thanks Teria...I LOVE them. Here are some of my favs.

Kallie
Family Pics
I don't love this one of Nick & me but love how Coop is looking at Kallie
The Mr. & Mrs.Mr. Mischievous
Sweet Baby
Holy Cow it is hard to get a good picture of all of us. Coop is either trying to run off or looking for his next adventure spot. Kallie would sleep and then wake up and look around but, I love how each picture has a story.. i guess that's what makes it ok! Thanks Mike for trying to keep Cooper entertained and to look at the camera.
