The Doctor's

Tuesday, Cooper and I went to the Doctor for his 3 year old check up. He was so excited to go to the Dr. (I don't know why, maybe it cause he knows if he is a good boy he gets treats). We got checked in and he was so excited to see the "nemo" fish. We got called back and he had the biggest smile on his face. He said, Hi to the nurse and then showed her how big he was and got weighed and measured. He weights 32 lbs now and is 37.2 in. TALL. He is definitely not a baby anymore!! He told me he needed to go potty so we hurried and went before the doctor came in. When he came in Cooper told him he went potty and Dr. Marsden danced around!! He is awesome! Coop was so talkative! It was so cute to see him be so open with the Dr.! I was expecting our visit to be like the last where he wouldn't step on the scale and be scared to death but, NO! I was so happy to see him be such a BiG BoY! Dr. Marsden said we were missing one shot so, Coop had to get it! The nurse told him after he got his shot he could go pick out a "treasure" in the treasure box. He was SO excited! He got on my lap and she gave him his shot and he looked and me with a hurt face and said, OWWW...! When she put his band aid on he said, "Can I get a treasure?" It was so funny to see how much he REALLY wanted a "Treasure"! I am so proud of how good he did! Especially since I do not like the doctors! Maybe if my doctor let me pick out a treasure I would like it too! :)

Happy Birthday Coop!

5 months 1 years old18 months
2 years old 2 1/2 years
Three years ago today I was in the hospital about to see the joy of our lives! I spent most of the day waiting for little Cooper to come. I was so excited and nervous! Cooper arrived at 9:16 p.m. and weighed 7lbs. 4 oz. He was so cute and right when he was born he looked just like daddy!
He has grown up so FAST!! I can't believe how fast times really flies!
Coop is talking so good now. He loves to learn. He especially loves to sing songs.
Cooper is such a funny boy. He is always making us laugh. He loves to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and could play outside all day. His trike is his favorite thing. He rides it EVERYWHERE even if it is down the hall to go get something!
Coop, Mom and Dad LOVE you SO much and love watching you learn and grow!
Happy Birthday Big Boy !!

Why???

I had just got done finishing up the dishes and went into my bedroom to get some clothes to throw in the laundry when I saw Cooper cleaning up something on the carpet with a towel. I asked him what he was doing and he said, "cleaning". Well, come to find out he was cleaning up this.....My brand new bottle of hairspray was completely dumped out onto the CARPET!!!! Talk about a sticky mess. I asked Cooper if we are suppose to pour hairspray on the carpet and he went on to tell me that that is very naughty and we put it on hair. haha silly guy. How could I be mad after that?? Well, I still was not very happy that my whole bottle I just bought yesterday was wasted and kept asking myself, "Why????, Why does he keep doing these things when he knows that he gets to go to time-out!"

Available at...

I found the Potty Watch at Kid to Kid and Harmon's (in the diaper aisle). It is cheaper at Harmon's and the music sounds a lot better.

Good Luck to all you Potty Trainers!

The Potty Watch

The Potty Watch is awesome if you are trying to potty train. You can set the watch to go off 30, 60, or 90 mins. Every time it goes off it plays a song. (it has 3 different songs) When the song goes off we sing the "Potty song" and it is time to go potty. Cooper does pretty good for a couple of days and then doesn't want to anymore. We are still working on it though....slowly but surely. Someday it will happen! :) He loves to wear his potty watch and every time it goes off he sings and runs to the toilet so, I am excited about that. If anything it is getting his excited to go!

Here is Coop modeling his Potty Watch!

Christmas morning was so much fun! Cooper had fun checking out all his fun new toys. We had such a nice morning. Around 11:00 a.m. we headed over to Nick's mom for Christmas Brunch. It was nice to see the family. We stopped at Nick's Dad's on the way home and got to visit with him for a bit.We came back home and let Cooper play with his toys! My Dad & Mama Jo came and visited with us about 3:00 p.m. It was so fun to visit with them for a while before they headed to the next siblings house. Cooper showed Grandpa all his tools just like daddy's.
Coop & Daddy with his new tools
We were just getting ready to eat our dinner and the power went out! I realized how unprepared we were. In this house we haven't designated a place for our Emergency stuff yet. Good thing we had our cell phone lights to go out in garage and find our 72 hr. Box. After we got some light we enjoyed our "candlelight dinner." Cooper thought it was scary at first but, after a bit he started thinking it was fun and wanted to go camping! We had a wonderful Christmas and are so very blessed. We are so grateful for wonderful family and friends and for our best Christmas gift ever...Our Savior Jesus Christ. He has done so much for us and we are so lucky to have his example and to be able to serve those around us.

Christmas Eve

This year for Christmas Eve we got to spend it with my family. We did Nick's mom, Bryan, Andrea, Kinzie, and Emma join us too. It was so much fun! We get together every year and have a "Christmas Program". We have dinner, Children's Nativity and Talent. My mom came up with this idea in '98 and my niece and me stated putting it together. We would work on this months in advance. Mom was pretty sick but, would still help us with our little projects and give suggestions. Mom passed away that year two day before Christmas Eve. Our Program that year was so special. It is now our family tradition every year to have a Christmas Eve Program. For dinner this year we enjoyed yummy Ham, potatoes, salad, rolls and a variety of delicious cakes! After dinner we had a children's Nativity and story. Cooper was the wayward Shepard! He didn't want to stand there... of course. (stinker) Then my favorite part.....the talent. Most of the grand kids had come up with talent to share. All of the girls made up a cute dance. Kaylee and Brooke do such a great job organizing the whole program. We love it! We missed Kar this year at the program. She was in the ER getting hydrated. Poor Kar! We are glad her and the baby are doing good! After the program we headed home and Cooper wrote a letter to Santa and helped Dad set out Snickers and Cream Soda for Santa and Carrots for the Reindeer. (You can tell Cooper got to pick out what to give Santa) We opened up our Christmas jammies and got ready for bed. We had so much fun together as a family sharing talent, yummy food, and remembering our Savior Jesus Christ.

Snow Day

We had a fun Snow Day in December which NEVER happens in St. George!! It was so much fun to go out and build snowmen. The boys had fun having a snowball fight and played out in the snow a lot longer than I did. I love to see the snow but, brrr.. is it cold! Cooper had so much fun! I was amazed that my little daisy survived the snow. All of the other flowers died expect the one orange daisy.

It was such a fun experience to have all that snow!
